No internet!

hey!
I am sad to say that we no longer have internet, coming winter we will probably have it again.
My summer to do list is so long, I want to have a large garden (with no weeds) :) plant some shrubs!  lots of camping, swimming, bbq's and wiener roast!!! etc.. lets hope the mosquitos let us.

According to yesterdays weather winter has just barely started, we didn't go to church cause the roads were very slippery and the visibility was aweful not worth going on the roads, so we stayed home and later got company and had BBQ(asado in spanish)on the bbq while it was raining/snowing.

Easter is coming, all the yummy food!! Horrible timing for a diet. Oh how I love CHOCOLATE!!!!

If you are like me,  you get up in the morning and the first thing thats on your mind is supper..... What am I going to make for supper??  I don't always enjoy cooking, so on days where I didn't feel like making much, I make Giso (Paraguayan dish) Here are a few pictures on how to make it.... 

fry some onions in a bit of oil

cut up some meat, I did pork.. you can also do ground beef or stew beef.

fry that with the onions

add seasoning: I did Chilli powder, seasoning salt, garlic powder and regular salt.

add water, depends how watery you want it to be.

add noodles, does not matter what kind.

add tomato paste

finished product

We eat it with sour cabbage salad or tossed salad and garlic tst..

its great!!

busy but super day!

Good Day!!
Its saturday evening already, wow does the weekend ever go fast.
We had 4 of my husbands nieces here for a sleep-over.
We started our day quite early today, at about 7:30am Haylee was up, and shortly after that the girls woke up as well.  We started the day with  a pancake breakfast, followed by a tour of the fire-hall, (my husband is a volunteer firefighter.), baked cream cookies, and lots of playing.  For lunch we had left over pizza, chips and grape punch to drink.  After lunch the little 2 went down for a nap, and the older girls went on decorating the cookies,  we did some mixing with food coloring to get more colors.  Also watched Strawberry shortcake movie, followed by making Paper dolls with the Cricut.
I do believe the girls will sleep real well tonight! ( so will I hopefully)

growing up too fast!

Wow do babies ever grow fast!!! It feels like just yesterday when Layla was born and now she is going on almost 2 months...yikes!
I went through the girls clothes again,  I seems like that always has to be done, its stressful.  Now I have a big laundry basket full of clothes ready for the the summer, I just need to find a place to store them, the dresser is full.   Just waiting for summer!!!

Haylee wanted to wear everything I took out of the boxes, here she has jacket on that will fit her in the fall and a summer dress.... what a great combination  :)  (not)

Projects on the go

Yesterday I got to spend a whole day with friends. We scrapbooked and chatted while the children played so nicely. Today its back to my projects that I started, I want to try to have them all done by the middle of April for sure.
Goal: 4 rag blankets
        10 crayon rolls
        20 head bands

now the fun part, to snip, snip and snip.

Super busy day!

Yesterday I had a great and busy day at home, I baked 11 dozen cookies.  I baked some for a bake sale, some for my cousins, and some for ourselves. At the end I had 11 dozen cookies all for ourselves, due to the horrible weather we had last night, we never left the house. The roads were so so bad that it took my husband 3 hours to come home from work instead of 15 minutes.

It does not take long to bake so many cookies when you have a convection oven.

Wednesday!

Good afternoon!
Another day at home, and trying to keep myself from getting bored, bored?? Whats that? My 20 month old  makes sure that there is no such thing, she has kept me busy today, if its not snooping, playing with the toilet water, then its reaching into the bassinet and getting a hold of Layla, and saying "gentle, gentle" according to her she is very gentle, but not to Layla.
 We are so blessed to have such a content baby, made the transition to having 2 children under 2 years a lot easier.

I tried covering a wipes container, it worked ok but the next one will look a lot better, I did not have proper ribbon to put on there.

I made these rag blankets for goody bags for Christmas, and I starting making one for my daughters doll.

I love making these crayon rolls.
I want to make a few this week yet.

I made 5 for some of my nieces and nephews goody bags for Christmas.

Gotta go and make supper before my husband comes home from work.

Wednesday we always have a quick supper, have to be at church at 7, due to being youth leaders.

Just over 1 month ago.

Just over a month ago, our lives changed  for the better, as we welcomed our new addition to the family, another precious little girl Layla Grace.

She was one day over due born January 27th at 8:20pm.

8lbs 03 oz 20 inches

Haylee was so happy that she got to hold her.

"Loving God, thank you for the gift of Layla Grace into our lives. Thank you especially for safe delivery and guiding us through it.  Rejoice with us, as we welcome Layla, and guide her to grow strong, and healthy in Your name we pray. Amen."

Layla is such a different baby compare to Haylee, Layla eats and sleeps a lot, during the night she is up once normally at 3am, and Haylee ate almost every hour, and slept very little.

A day at home!

Yay friday is here, my favorite day of the week..  My day started at 7 am with feeding Layla who is just over 1 month old, then at 8:20am I hear Haylee playing with toys, I got up and gave her breakfast but she went right back to bed, because she had been up  late the night before.

You ever feel like you always clean, do laundry and make food every single day?? I normally felt that way but I  realized that it is a blessing to have a home that needs cleaning, family that needs clean clothes and mouths that need to eat, so thats exactly what I did today, laundry, cook, clean and I enjoyed every minute.
